District Commissioners conference ends on a highly successful note

The DC s Conference which commenced in the morning on Saturday 11July 2020 ended on a highly successful note in the evening with several resolutions being passed. Soon after the Opening Ceremony, Group photograph and Tea Break, a briefing on Safety Measures to be followed was made by a KDU official onCovid 19.

Thereafter presentations were made by Senior Comissioners. National Training Commissioner Mr. Nanda Fernando, National Programme Cpmmissioner Mr. Sarath Matararachchi, International Commissioner Dr. Rajeeva Peiris, Assistant Chief Commissioners Mr. Srilath de Silva on Rovering, Dr. Manjula Sahabandu on Administration, Mrs. Wathsala Wijewickrema on Cub section, Mr. Prabath Kularatne on Media and Better World Framework, Ms.Chandrani Fernando on Girls in Scouting, Mrs. Renuka Silva on Singithi section. Dr. Rajeeva Peiris made a presentation on Safe from Harm policy of SLSA.

The post lunch period was allocated for presentations by DCs.

Group Discussions were held by 4 groups on specially selected topics and their conclusions were presented.

SLSA and Branch Associations were the topic of a presentation by DCC Mr. Janaprith Fernando. The DCs had the opportunity of airing their views on a Q & A session in the Open Forum.

The Certificates of Participation were presented by the Chief Commissioner Major Gen. Milinda Peiris. The conference ended with a fellowship Dinner.
