A meeting of the National Programme Team Steering Committee was held on Saturday 25 July 2020 at the National Scout Headquarters convened by the National Programme Commissioner Mr. Sarath Matararachchi.
Mr. Janaprith Fernando Deputy Chief Commissioner delivered the Welcome Address and stated about the present situation of Scouting in Sri Lanka.
The Chief Commissioner Major General Milinda Peiris delivered the keynote address and stressed on Quality Scouting.
It was followed by a discussion on the future events, Review of Youth Programme, Revision of Proficiency Badge Syllabus, PLs Training, Better World Framework badges and several other related matters.
Several decisions were taken at the end of the meeting. A notable feature of the meeting was the presence of two former Program Xommissioners Mrs. Mallika Gunaratne and Mr. Rohan Wirasekera.
