initiated under the vision of the current Chief Commissioner, Attorney-at-Law Manoj Nanayakkara—was successfully concluded. Accordingly, 78 male and female police officers who completed the training were formally inducted into the Scout Movement, and the awarding of membership badges took place with great pride on July 28, 2026 at the Kalutara Police Training College.
This event, held under the supervision of the Chief Commissioner and the National Training Commissioner along with the National Training Committee, coincided with the Phase I conference. Representing the Sri Lanka Police Department, Deputy Inspector General E. M. G. Jagath Seram, in charge of Recruitment and Training, along with several senior police officers, attended as invited guests.
Representing the Sri Lanka Scout Association were senior training leaders including National Training Commissioner Colonel (Retired) Padmalal Perera, National Training Director and Headquarters Commissioner Tilakman Pathmasiri, Headquarters Commissioner and Acting District Commissioner of Anuradhapura Kala Rasika, Headquarters Commissioner and Assistant Training Leader Anil Wijekoon, as well as Assistant District Commissioner (Training and International Affairs) of the Kalutara District Scout Association and Assistant Training Leader Kasun Wijesekara.
In addition, three Wood Badge holders who are serving officers in the Sri Lanka Police also contributed towards the success of this program.
During the ceremony, the awarding of membership badges and other insignia was carried out by officials of the Sri Lanka Scout Association, while the presentation of the Scout scarf (neckerchief) was ceremonially conducted by Deputy Inspector General Jagath Seram.
The Phase I training course related to this initial conference was conducted in two groups in May at the Kalutara Police Training College premises, under the leadership of Training Director and Headquarters Commissioner Tilakman Pathmasiri and National Programme Commissioner and Training Leader Geeth Ramesh.

වත්මන් ප්රධාන කොමසාරිස්, නීතිඥ මනෝජ් නානායක්කාර මහතාගේ සංකල්පයකට අනුව ඇරඹි පොලිස් බාලදක්ෂ අංශයේ ඓතිහාසික පළමු අදියරේ (Phase I) බාලදක්ෂ නායක පුහුණු පාඨමාලාව සාර්ථකව අවසන් කළ පොලිස් නිලධාරී මහත්ම මහත්මීන් 78 දෙනෙකු බාලදක්ෂ ව්යාපාරයේ සාමාජිකත්වයට ඇතුළත් කරගැනීම සහ සාමාජික පදක්කම් පැළඳවීම 2026 ජූලි 28 වන දින (ඊයේ) කළුතර පොලිස් පුහුණු විද්යාලයේදී ඉතා අභිමානවත් අයුරින් සිදුකෙරිණි.
ප්රධාන කොමසාරිස්තුමා සහ ජාතික පුහුණු කිරීමේ කොමසාරිස්තුමා ප්රමුඛ ජාතික පුහුණු කිරීමේ මණ්ඩලයේ අධීක්ෂණය යටතේ ක්රියාත්මක වූ මෙම අවස්ථාව, පළමු අදියර සම්මන්ත්රණයට සමඟාමීව පැවැත්විණි. ඒ සඳහා ශ්රී ලංකා පොලිස් දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව නියෝජනය කරමින් බඳවාගැනීම් සහ පුහුණු අංශය භාර නියෝජ්ය පොලිස්පති ඊ. එම්. ජී. ජගත් සේරම් මහතා ඇතුළු උසස් පොලිස් නිලධාරීහු පිරිසක් ආරාධිතයන් ලෙස සහභාගී වූහ.
ශ්රී ලංකා බාලදක්ෂ සංගමය නියෝජනය කරමින් ජ්යෙෂ්ඨ පුහුණු කිරීමේ නායකයින් වන ජාතික පුහුණු කිරීමේ කොමසාරිස්, කර්නල් (විශ්රාමික) පද්මලාල් පෙරේරා මහතා , ජාතික පුහුණු කිරීමේ අධ්යක්ෂ සහ මූලස්ථාන කොමසාරිස් තිලක්මන් පත්මසිරි මහතා , මූලස්ථාන කොමසාරිස් සහ අනුරාධපුර දිසා කොමසාරිස් ( වැඩ ආවරණ ) කලා රසික මහතා , මූලස්ථාන කොමසාරිස් සහ සහාය පුහුණු කිරීමේ නායක අනිල් විජේකෝන් මහතා යන සහ කළුතර දිසා බාලදක්ෂ සංගමයේ පුහුණු හා ජාත්යන්තර කටයුතු භාර සහකාර දිසා කොමසාරිස්, සහාය පුහුණු කිරීමේ නායක කසුන් විජේසේකර යන මහත්වරු එක්ව සිටියහ.
තවද, පොලිස් දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ සේවයේ නියුතු ශ්රී ලංකා බාලදක්ෂ සංගමයේ ලී පදක්කම්ලාභී නායකයන් තිදෙනෙක්ද මෙම කටයුත්තේ සාර්ථකත්වය වෙනුවෙන් තම දායකත්වය ලබා දුන්හ.
මෙම අවස්ථාවේදී සාමාජික පදක්කම් ඇතුළු පදක්කම් පැළඳවීම ශ්රී ලංකා බාලදක්ෂ සංගමයේ නිලධාරීන් විසින් සිදුකළ අතර, බාලදක්ෂ කරපටිය (කරලේන්සුව) පිළිගැන්වීම නියෝජ්ය පොලිස්පති ජගත් සේරම් මහතා විසින් ගෞරවපූර්වකව සිදුකරන ලදී.
මෙම පළමු අදියර සම්මන්ත්රණයට අදාළ අදියර I පුහුණු පාඨමාලාව කණ්ඩායම් දෙකක් ලෙස ඉකුත් මැයි මස කළුතර පොලිස් පුහුණු විදුහල් පරිශ්රයේදී පවත්වන ලදී. ඒ, පුහුණු කිරීමේ අධ්යක්ෂ සහ මූලස්ථාන කොමසාරිස්, පුහුණු කිරීමේ නායක තිලක්මන් පත්මසිරි සහ ජාතික වැඩසටහන් කොමසාරිස්, පුහුණු කිරීමේ නායක ගීත් රමේෂ් යන මහත්වරුන්ගේ පාඨමාලා නායකත්වය යටතේය.
