Mannar District Scout Association Meeting was held on 5 December 2022 at the District Secretariat/Kachcheri presided over by Mrs Stanley de Mel GA and President of the District Scout Association.
Mr. Stanley De Mel District Commissioner welcomed everybody and presented a progress report of the district activities.
Mr. M. F. S. Muheed Deputy Chief Commissioner addressed the gathering and detailed out the activities of 110 Anniversary celebrations of SLSA to be carried out by the districts.
The APR Project for Scouting in new Communities to increase 1000 Scouts for each of the 10 Districts was also explained to the Directors of Education, principals and teachers followed by a video presentation.
A discussion on problems faced by the Scout leaders took place and the Deputy Chief Commissioner replied to the queries.
Mr. S. Amalaraj, Asst. Headquarters Commissioner detailed out the programme to be carried out on 17 December 2022 for the Anniversary Celebrations.
Mrs. Stanley De Mel GA and President of the Association stressed the importance of the scout movement and requested all those present to support in developing scouting in the district.
