Janaprith Fernando, Attorney-at-Law and Chief Commissioner of the Sri Lanka Scout Association was presented with the Highest National Distinction for Most Exceptional service to the Scout Movement, by the Bharat Scouts and Guides.
The Award was presented by the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Ms. Anandi Ben Patel at Raj Bhawan (official residence of the Governor) in Lucknow, India. The ceremony was held on 26th November 2025 in concurrence with the 19th National Jamboree of the Bharat Scouts & Guides being held from 23rd -29th November 2025. Three other overseas awardees also received this prestigious award.
The Chief Commissioner of Bharat Scouts & Guides K.K. Kandawal and other officials were present at the ceremony.
