Floral Tributes To F. G. Stevens And Camillus Fernando

A Commemoration event was held on Tuesday 2nd June 2020 at the National Scout Headquarters under the patronage of Chief Commissioner Major Gen. Milinda Peiris in memory of Mr. F.G. Stevens who started the Scout movement in Sri Lanka in 1912.
Deputy Chief Commissioner and World Scout Committee Member Mr.Janaprith Dernando delivered the Memorial Oration.

Mr. Prabath Kularatne – Asst. Chief Commissioner Media & PR addressed the gathering on the life and times of Former Chief Commissioner Mr. Canillus Fernando who passed away recently. in his memory a wheel chair and and a walking aid was handed over to the Doctors who were present to be presented to the National Hospital.
Mrs. Tilaka Fernando wife of late Mr. Camillus Fernando graced the occassion.

The Messenger of Peace Star 2020 competition for scouts and leaders was launched by the Chief Commissioner.
The main objective of the competition being to motivate them towards community service. This competition will be spearheaded by Mr. Prabath Kularatne ACC and MOP Coordinator with assistance of Dr. Asanka Eriyawa Asst. HQ Commissioner.
