SOUTHERN PROVINCE ELECTRICAL SAFETY AND PREVENTION OF ACCIDENTS WORKSHOP OF PUCSL AND SRI LANKA SCOUTS

The Southern Province Workshop on Electrical Safety and Prevention of Accidents sponsored by Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka and organized by Sri Lanka Scout Association got underway today 23 December 2023 in Galle at Hotel Highway Chena, Pinnaduwa.

The workshop was held under the leadership of the Galle District Scout Commissioner Mr. Upul Kalansuriya and the Galle District Branch Association. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Municipal Commissioner of Galle Mrs. Thushari Rasnayake.

The main objective of the workshop was to train the scout leaders and spread the message to scouts and others to reduce the number of electrical fatalities. Mr. Hasanka Kamburugamuwa Deputy Director and Mr. Shenuka hikkaduwa, Management Assistant of PUCSL conducted the workshop.

Mr. Nuwan Kodikara, Asst. Headquarters Commissioner along with District Commissioners of Matara Mr. P. H.S. Mangala, Hambantota Mr. Harsha Ranaweera, Asst. District Commissioners and Scout leaders participated.

A Fellowship gathering was organized at the end of workshop.
