SAFETY USE OF GAS WORKSHOP FOR SCOUTS

Workshops were conducted today 29 June 2024 for Scout Leaders on Safety use of Gas by LITRO GAS Ltd. who were one of the sponsors at the 10th National Scout Jamboree held recently in Trincomalee.

It Was at the Jamboree campsites the litro gas officials found in some instances that LP Gas was used in an unsafe manner. As a result they proposed to Sri Lanka Scout Association to conduct workshops for scout leaders on the proper use of gas, so that they could carry the message to the scouts to be safe in their cooking at campsites.

Workshop was conducted for the western Province Scout districts in two sessions.

Moratuwa-piliyandala, Kalutara, Wattala-Jaela, Homagama, Gampaha, Panadura-Horana and Negombo scout districts participated. Chief Commissioner of Sri Lanka Scout Association Attorney at Law Mr. Janaprith Fernando presented a session on Public Speaking.

The participants appreciated the workshop being very useful. Deputy Chief Commissioner Mr. M F. S. Muheed proposing a vote of Thanks, thanked the Director and all officials of Litro Gas ltd. who were involved in organizing the workshop.

Mr Pushpakumara Mahagamuullage Headquarters Commissioner and Covering Duties District Commissioner of Moratuwa- Piliyandala and Headquarters Commissioner Mr. Priyankara Botejue were also present.
