The Chief Guests for the occasion was Mr.Claude Halpe (former Treasurer of Sri Lanka Scout Association
and Mrs. Priyani Halpe. The carols commenced with the lighting of candles and the Welcome address delivered by the Chief Commissioner Attorney at Law Mr. Janaprith Fernando, Chairman of SAANSO, (WOSM Consultant and APR Value volunteering Sub Committee Chairman. He welcomed the Chief Guests and all invitees, Commissioners, Scout Leaders and Scouts present and online from India, Nepal and Bangladesh .
De Mazenod College, Kandana Scouts of Wattala-Jaela started the carols dressed up in colourful costumes.
Bangladesh Scouts, Indian Scouts and Nepal Scouts presented their carols to the delight of everyone.
The Gospel reading and blessings were given by Rev. by Charan Rajaratnam.
Scouts of Wesley College from Colombo District also presented their carols.
Scouts of Moratuwa Piliyandala Scout District gave a rendering of carols in Sinhala clad in colourful costumes.
The carols were not going to be complete without the performance by the differently abled scouts from Senehasa Education Centre of t Colombo 5 singing “Pulung wage sudu ravula” which was indeed a wonderful presentation.
The Chief Guests presented a donation to the Chief Commissioner towards the Disaster Relief Fund.
The event was brought to a close with vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Asanka Eriyawa, International Commissioner.
Senior Commissioners, Headquarters Commissioners, Asst. Headquarters Commissioners and Commissioners and Scout Leaders from districts were present.
