Janaprith Fernando, Attorney-at-Law and Chief Commissioner of the Sri Lanka Scout Association was invited to attend the Arab Scouts Parliamentary Union (ASPU) Conference held in Millenium Convention Centre in Kuwait City. This event was attended by several Ministers and Parliamentarians from Arab and African Scout Regions.
Mr. Fernando had discussions with Dr. Abdullah Al Thuraiji, President of the Arab Scout Committee and Kuwait Scout Association. It was agreed to work in collaboration between the two Associations on exchange programs for Scouts and Leaders and on ScoutTraining. Both parties agreed to enter into a MOU to strengthen the collaboration between the two National Scout Organisations. Dr. Atif Abdelmageed, Advisor to the Arab Scout Parliamentary Union was the facilitator of the meetings.
The Chief Commissioner of Sri Lanka was taken for a tour of the Kuwait Scout Association Headquarters and the ASPU Headquarters in the City of Kuwait.
