Launch of the “Campfire Leader” Training Course for Scout Leaders
The “Campfire Leader” Training Course, organized by the National Training Team of the Sri Lanka Scout Association, commenced on March 6th at the Lee Dassanayake Scout Training Centre in Mirigama. The program, which will run until March 8th, was officially inaugurated under the patronage of the Chief Commissioner, Attorney-at-Law Lasantha Manoj Nanayakkara.
Speaking at the opening, the Chief Commissioner highlighted that the Campfire Leader course is one of the most popular programs within the Scout Movement, serving as a vital tool for building effective public relations. He emphasized that to successfully complete the course, all participating male and female leaders are required to organize campfire displays within their respective districts and submit a detailed report to the National Scout Headquarters.
Furthermore, he stated that plans are underway to increase the number of scouting districts and promote scout activities at the village level, seeking the active contribution of both male and female leaders to achieve this goal.
Held under the guidance of the National Training Commissioner, Colonel Padmalal Perera, and led by Training Leader Surath Vimukthi Edurapola, the course is attended by 48 Scout Leaders (both male and female) representing various parts of the island.
රී ලංකා බාලදක්ෂ සංගමයේ ජාතික පුහුණු කිරීමේ අංශය මඟින් සංවිධානය කරන ලද ගිණිමැල නායකයින් පුහුණු කිරීමේ නායක පාඨමාලාව 2026 මාර්තු මස 06 සිට 08 දින දක්වා මීරිගම ලී දසනායක බාලදක්ෂ පුහුණු මධ්යස්ථානයේදී පැවැත්වෙන අතර අද දින පෙරවරු 10.00 ට ප්රධාන බාලදක්ෂ කොමසාරිස් නීතිඥ ලසන්ත මනෝජ් නානායක්කාර මහතාගේ ප්රධානත්වයෙන් ආරම්භ කරන ලදි.
බාලදක්ෂ ව්යාපාරයේ ජනප්රියම පාඨමාලාව ගිණිමැල නායක පුහුණු පාඨමාලාව බවත් මහජන සම්බන්ධතා මැනවින් පවත්වාගෙන යාමට ගිණිමැල සංදර්ශන ඉතා වැදගත් බවත්, මෙම පාඨමාලාව සම්පූර්ණ වීමට නම් පාඨමාලාලාභීන් සියළු දෙනා තම දිස්ත්රික්කයන්හි ගිණිමැල සංදර්ශන පවත්වා එහි වාර්තාවක් ජාතික බාලදක්ෂ මූලස්ථානය වෙත ලබා දිය යුතු බවත් ඒ මහතා ප්රකාශ කරන ලදි.
ඊට අමතරව බාලදක්ෂ දිස්ත්රික් ගණන ඉහල නංවා බාලදක්ෂ කටයුතු ගම් මට්ටමින් ප්රචලිත කිරීමට ක්රියා කරන බවත් ඒ මහතා ප්රකාශ කරන ලදි.
මෙවර පාඨමාලාව ජාතික පුහුණු කිරීමේ කොමසාරිස් කර්නල් පද්මලාල් පෙරේරා මහතාගේ උපදේශකත්වයෙන් පුහුණු කිරීමේ නායක සුරත් විමුක්ති ඇදුරාපොල මහතාගේ නායකත්වයෙන් පවත්වනු ලැබේ.
මෙම පාඨමාලාව සදහා පාඨමාලාලාභීන් 48 දෙනෙකු සහභාගී වේ.
