Sri Lanka Scout Association organized a Blood Donation Project in connection with the International Mother Language Day organized by the Bangladesh High Commission on 21 February 2023 at the Kotelawala Defence University Hospital.
Sri Lanka Scout Association is a partner n the International Mother Language Day Celebrations.
His Excellency Tareq Md. Ariful Islam, High Commissioner for Bangladesh graced the event as the Chief Guest at the Blood Donation Event. The Vice Chancellor of the KDU University Major General Milinda Peiris and Chief Scout Commissioner Attorney at Law Mr. Janaprith Fernando were present.
His Excellency the High Commissioner explained the significance of the Mother Language Day and thanked the Scout Association for continuously organizing the Blood Donation. Chief Commissioner expressed gratitude to the High Commissioner for the support given to the Scout association for the Community Kitchen Project.
The Director of the Hospital, Hospital Doctors, Officials and Staff were actively involved in the Project.
67 Personnel drawn from the Tri Forces and Police donated blood.
Scout Commissioners, Scout Leaders, Scouts, and other invitees were also present.
Senior Scout Manula Sahabandu was the organizer of the project for his President’s Scout Award
