A meeting of Assistant District Commissioners (Rovers) was held today 28th February 2026 at National Scout Headquarters with 26 districts being represented.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr. Asanka Eriyawa, International Commissioner and Guest of Honour was
Mr.Mr Sujeewa Jayawardena, Secretary of Sri Lanka Scout Council.
The meeting commenced with lighting of traditional oil lamp followed by National Anthem and Religious Observances.
Mr. Dilum Duminda Asst. Chief Commissioner Rovers delivered the Welcome Address.
Chief Commissioner Mr. Manoj Lasantha Nanayakkara addressed the gathering online.
The Chief Guest Dr. Asanka Eriyawa, International Commissioner addressed the gathering.
ACCs Ms. Chandrani Fernando and Mr. Sampath Kariyawasam also made their addresses.
Mrs. Priyadarshini Jayakody, LT conducted a session on Rovering with special reference to girls in scouting.
Mr. Nimal Fernando LT and Mr. Nafees Ahamed ADC of Colombo also presented sessions
ADCs were able to discuss matters of their districts.
Rover Wood badge holders were also present.
Mr. Shirantha Wijeratne HQC and Mr. S. Amalaraj AHQC assisted in the arrangements for the meeting.
The meeting ended on a successful note with the Vote of thanks by HQC Mr. Anil Wijekoon.
