The 3rd Singithi Scout Phase iv course got off to a start today 2 August 2023 at Lee Dassenaike Scout Training Centre, Mirigama.
The course commenced with the Opening Rally followed by the Opening Ceremony.
The National Training Commissioner Col. Padmalal Perera welcomed the Chief Guest Mr. M.F. S. Muheed, Deputy Chief Commissioner, Mr. Sarath Matararachchi Program Commissioner, Mrs. Mallika Gunaratne, Vice President of SLSA, the Course Director Ms. Chandrani Fernando ACC (Singithi), Mrs. Renuka Silva, ACC (cubs) Deputy Course Director, All members of the Training Team and All participants. He further explained the purpose and role of getting a Wood badge.
Mr. M.F. S. Muheed Deputy Chief Commissioner representing the Chief Commissioner Mr. Janaprith Fernando addressed the gathering and referred to the achieving of the membership target of 100,000. He requested all participants in the course to get the wood-badge and develop the Singithi Section.
27 participants are following the course. An experienced staff of the Training Team is present to conduct the course. The course will conclude on 6th August.
