The new Scout Shop of Sri Lanka Scout Association was opened relocating the earlier scout shop on 1st January2025 by the Chief Commissioner Attorney at Law Mr. Janaprith Fernando and Deputy Chief Commissioner Mr. M.F.S. Muheed, in the presence of National Training Commissioner Col. Padmalal Perera, National Programm Commissioner Mr. Ruwan Ariyaratne, Asst. Chief Commissioners. Headquarters Commissioners Asst. Headquarters Commissioners and other invitees.
The former Asst. Chief Commissioner Administration Air Vice Marshal Ruwan Andrew Wijesuriya made the first purchase at the shop. He was responsible during his tenure for the construction of the Scout Shop along with the Headquarters Office Renovation with the assistance of the labour provided by the Sri Lanka Navy.
The present relocation will serve as a convenient place to all Commissioners, Scout leaders and Scouts to make their required purchases.
The Scout Shop serves as a nerve centre to all 37 Scout Districts.
