Major Gen. Milinda Peiris – Immediate past Chief Commissioner who was Chief Guest at the Annual General Meeting of the Ceylon Scout Council held on 28 May 2022 stated that the Lay Members and Uniformed Members should work together as one team to develop Scouting.

Prior to the commencement of the AGM the photograph of Major Gen. Milinda Peiris was unveiled in the customary manner for his period of service as Chief Commissioner from 2 January 2020 to 30 September 2021.

The first copy of the Annual Report for 2021 was presented to the Chief Guest by Chief Commissioner Mr. Janaprith Fernando and Secretary Mr. Suminda Vithanaarachchi.

Chief Commissioner Attorney t Law Mr. Janaprith Fernando in his address outlined the activities carried out from the time assumed duties in October 2021.  He stated that the cooperation extended by his team of Commissioners helped to carry out many activities successfully.

The Office Bearers elected at the Special General Meting held on 30th April 2022 were accepted and ratified by the House.
