How to Score high in the Online Interview for the Digital Jamboree

1.   Be in Full Uniform – smartly dressed

2.   Be ready at the time given

3.   You will have to click on the link and log on to the virtual Interview room.

4.  Make sure you have enough data – if you find it difficult with internet accessibility, we can arrange the interview at the Nearest Sampath Bank – Please find the name of the Sampath Bank Branch and get in touch with the International team through Mr Abdul Mawahib (0774755222 or 0777845327) who is in charge of the Project.

5.   There will be 4 Questions that you need to answer between ½ to one minute (strictly) for each question (4 minutes total) – below we give you the questions and what we will give marks for – all you have to do is cover everything … short and sweet within 1 minute – this will get you a maximum of 150 marks.

6.   You will get another 50 marks for

               a. Being there on time
               b. Correct uniform
               c. Correct procedure – salute, walking and following instructions
               d. Some other questions the interview board will have

7.   Below are the 4 main questions and what you should be covering within one minute (for each topic) – REMEMBER THIS IS A SPEECH … SO DON’T JUST ANSER THE QUESTIONS ….. REMEMBER YOU HAVE ONLY 1 MINUTE:-

a. Give a 1 minute Account about yourself

i.     Your Age
ii.    A very brief description of your family – (Father/Mother/ brothers/sisters/& your position)
iii.   A brief description about where you live = your Home or boarding
iv.   What is your hometown and where do you live now
v.    School, class and language stream
vi.   Sports and Extra Curricular Activities (don’t elaborate on Scouting as there is another question about that)
vii.  Your Favorites – (person/ colour/ best friend/teacher/ subject/ TV programme/song)
viii. Your strong points Special skills abilities
ix.   Your Ambition in life = What is the job you want to do in the future
x.    If you arrange everything in order (not jumbled) you get extra points
xi.   Fluency = if you tell all this with confidence and without stops you get more extra points
xii.  Articulation = the quality of your speech will get you a few more points
xiii. Bonus = anything you say that is special will give you a few extra points

b. Give a 1 minute account of your Scout Life
