Sri Lanka Scout Association (SLSA) has initiated a programme to provide relief to scout leaders and scouts who have been affected by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Scouts stay at home activity.

Scouts are advised to Do a good deed everyday at home and record in their log books.  Cub Scouts also can keep a record of their activities and produce  it to Akelas when schools reopen. SLSA will recognize and make a presentation to all those who do this exercise methodically. DCs please appoint a commissioner / leader to coordinate this in your districts.

National Scout Headquarters requests all scouts and leaders to cooperate by observing the  health regulations announced by the Government and Health authorities in the prevention and eradication of the Corona Virus or Covid 19. Badges and Awards for scouts.

National Scout Headquarters has decided to grant a 6 week grace period from 12 March 2020 to those who will be affected by not being able to pass their badges which will have an effect on winning their awards. All DCs are requested to inform all Scout Groups in the District. No backdating will be allowed. They will have to enter exact dates of passing.
