" SAVE THE NATION - SAVE LIVES" Safe Hands Challenge

Sri Lanka Scout Association in collaboration with WHO/ UNDP and Citra Social Innovation Lab

Safe Hands Challenge is a campaign launched by the World Health Organization in the wake of 2019-20 coronavirus pandemic. It was launched on 13 March 2020 by Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Director of World Health Organization. The campaign urges everyone to wash their hands regularly for 20 seconds to keep themselves safe and prevent the transmission of disease. Sri Lanka Scout Association in collaboration with World Health Organization – Country Office, UNDP and Citra Social Innovation Lab has initiated “Safe Hands Challenge” for scouts as a part of " SAVE THE NATION - SAVE LIVES" National level Public awareness campaign for the prevention of COVID-19 Disease organized by Sri Lanka Scouts Association.

Instructions for scouts

Do following steps & Join Safe Hands Challenge to Prevent COVID-19

  1. Watch following Video
  2. Learn how to do handwashing properly
  3. Wash your hand properly at least for 20 seconds
  4. Post a photograph or video in www.facebook.com/bwfslsa Facebook page including following hash tags #SafeHands #COVID19 #Scouts #ScoutsStayHome
  5. Nominate 3 more friends to take challenge & instruct them to follow the above steps
