700 Scouts received the President Scout Awards today 23 February 2022 at National and Provincial levels.

The National Level Ceremony was held at the Presidential Secretariat graced by His Excellency Gotabaya Rajapaksa, President and Chief Scout of Sri Lanka.

Chief Commissioner Attorney at Law addressing the gathering detailed out the activities carried out in the recent past mainly focussing the 100,000 Tree planting campaign and the Global Cultural Jamboree which were concluded successfully.
The Tree Planting Report was presented to His Excellency by Assistant Chief Commissioner Mr.
. Prabath Kularatne.

The Global Cultural Jamboree Report was presented to His Excellency by the Chief Commissioner Mr. Janaprith Fernando.

33 Scouts representing Scout districts received their awards from HE Gotabaya Rajapaksa, President and Chief Scout of Sri Lanka.

Associated at the ceremony were Secretary to the President Mr. Gamini Senarath, former Chief Commissioner Major Gen. Milinda Peiris, Education Ministry Secretary Prof. Kapila Perera, Deputy Chief Commissioner Mr. M F. S. Muheed, Senior Commissioners and Headquarters Commissioners.

His Excellency the President also handed over Plants to start home gardens to four scouts as a token presentation.

The nine Provincial Level ceremonies followed the National Ceremony which was connected via zoom link for the main ceremony.

The Governors or their representatives presented the Awards to the provinces.
