10 NATIONAL SCOUT JAMBOREE IN FEBRUARY 2024

Preparations are underway to hold the 10 National Scout jamboree in Trincomalee from 20-26 February 2024.

An ocular visit was organized on 3 and 4 March for the Organizing Team leaders including the Chief Commissioner, Deputy Chief Commissioner, Organizing Commissioners and Senior Commissioners who are functioning as advisors to visit the site that has been earmarked to hold the Jamboree.

The entire site was visited and other places were identified for the various facilities to be located and finalized with the assistance of the District Commissioner of Trincomalee and scout officials of the district.

Chief Commissioner Mr. Janaprith Fernando addressed the organizing teams and requested everyone to carry out their tasks to ensure a successful Jamboree.

The Deputy Chief Commissioner Mr. M.F.S .Muheed, Joint Organizing Commissioners Mr. Gamini Somathilaka and Mr. Darath Matararachchi addressed the organizing team with valuable inputs.

The President of the Trincomalee Branch Association Mr. Thandayuthapani said he will extend their fullest support for the jamboree

Twelve teams will start work on their tasks and are expected to report to the main organizing team.
The visit was coordinated by Mr. S.Sasikumar District Scout Commissioner of Trincomalee.
