Sri Lanka’s first-ever winners of the ‘World Scout Environment Badge’

For the first-time in Sri Lanka Scouting, 65 Rover Scouts from Kurunegala District have completed the criteria for the prestigious ‘World Scout Environment Badge’ (WSEP) at the on-going APR Workshop on Environmental Education in Scouting 2017 at Yapahuwa Paradise Hotel, Sri Lanka..

 

They are the first-ever group of Scouts or Rovers who won the WSEP badge (15+ age group), and have successfully completed “Scout Go Solar” practicum as the criteria for the badge.

 

This historical moment of Sri Lanka Scouting became a reality at the on-going APR Workshop on Environmental Education in Scouting 2017 wi being held at Yapahuwa Paradise Hotel where 36 foreign participants from 15 Countries of the APR Region and 3 resource persons of the APR Support Center attended .

 

 

Additionally many local participants have also participating at this event.
