SLSA welcomes Mr. Janaprith Fernando, First-ever Sri Lankan in WSC


 

Mr. Janaprith Fernando, the Deputy Chief Commissioner, the first-everSri Lankan in 105 years history of Scouting, who was elected to serve 3 years from 2017-2020 as a member of the World Scout Committee, was received on arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake by the members of the SLSA and several Government Officials.

 

Thereafter a function was organised by the Commissioners, Officials and Members of the Sri Lanka Scout Association to felicitate him at the national Headquarters.

 

 

The ‘World Scout Committee’ (WSC), the governing body of World Organisation of Scout Movement (WOSM).

 

 

SLSA is very much convinced that Mr. Janaprith Fernando, as a member of the WSC and with his maturity and vast experience could make a significant contribution towards achieving WOSM’s mission for 2023, and also could take Sri Lanka Scouting to greater heights!
